There is much we can learn from certain philosophies and apply to our modern world. Currently, we are completely inundated in all ways and forms. This leaves us overwhelmed, anxiety ridden and even detached. Instead of wanting to do more, perhaps doing less creates more room for what we need to let in, physically, mentally and emotionally. Through more thoughtful and deliberate actions, we can manifest more concentration, tranquillity, and mindfulness in our lives, leading to more fulfillment in our day to day. Zen things: Do one thing at a time Do it slowly and deliberately Do it completely Do less Put space between things Develop rituals Designate time for certain things Devote time to sitting (meditation) Smile and serve others Making cleaning and cooking become meditation Think about what is necessary Live simply
