Why is Beef Liver a Superfood?

Energy boost: filled with B vitamins, which convert food energy into chemical energy for your cells, fuelling your body most efficiently while also supporting fat burning. It is important to note that the ONLY usable form of Vitamin B12 is found in animal foods ideally wild-caught, grass-fed, and/or pastured animal foods. Skin health: full of vitamin A, copper and glycine. These nutrients contribute to maintenance of collagen under the skin. Vitamin A is an antioxidant, protecting skin cells from oxidative stress like damage from UV rays. This combination slows the aging process and encourages healthy skin cell production. Most people consuming and following the food pyramid set out by government and dieticians, get almost no vitamin K2 in general. Brain boost: choline is an essential nutrient needed for many steps in metabolism as well as cognitive performance. It prevents anxiety and mood disorders and is associated with brain health. A 4oz serving of liver, the size of your palm or less, is about your day's requirement. Choline is so imperative for a healthy, functioning brain that deficiencies are associated with the most common form of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease. It also contains copper, iron and selenium, three additional nutrients required for optimal brain function.
