Make your own sunscreen

How many are still using sunscreen? Do you know how to read labels? Do you overstand the ingredients listed?

Vitamin D is pivotal to our health. Some people still do not trust the sun and I understand completely. It does take a very long time to uncondition ourselves from all the lies we have been told all our life. However, if you still feel you need to apply sun lotion before going out into the sun, please make your own lotion which is toxin free made from another superfood and amazing gut parasite killer, coconut oil. Or simply apply coconut oil as the barrier.

Quarter cup organic coconut oil

Quarter cup shea butter

1/8 jojoba or sesame oil

2 tablespoon beeswax

1 tablespoon zinc oxide powder

Teaspoon red raspberry seed oil

Essential oil of your choice (optional)

Glass jar

Melt the coconut oil, sesame or jojoba oil, beeswax and shea butter. Once blended remove from heat and leave it to one side to cool down to room temperature.

Once at room temperature, add zinc oxide and put contents in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Take out the fridge, whip it and add raspberry oil and essential oil mixing until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.

Now transfer into glass jar and store in fridge.

Apply as sun screen as and when needed.

Note: Above is great for the entire family but do not ingest. The beeswax will give the water repellent characteristics whilst essential oils give it that nice smell. Use in small amounts which will go a long way. The zinc oxide keeps your skin unharmed by UVA and UVB rays.
