Zu San Li (Leg Three Miles) ST36
One of the most important points of the body lies on the Stomach channel ST36, located on the leg.
The Chinese name Zu San Li is translated as Leg Three Miles. It was a point said to have been used by ancient Chinese soldiers to enable them to go the extra three miles in their marches. Not only does this point strengthen the legs, it fortifies the whole body, tonifying the Qi (vital energy) and eliminating fatigue and promoting general wellness.
In The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, it says that at around 35 years of age, a woman's face can begin to dull, become dry and lose colour. Through stimulating ST36 and the channel we can help this.
Scrape downwards with your gua sha tool or hand down from the bottom of your knee cap, along the outer boundary of your shin bone. Do this daily for 1-2 minutes on each leg. This point also has the ability to thicken the Uterus lining and beautiful skin.
