Ear message is important to keep our kidney healthy. This can be translated as: “if you want a healthy body, rub the ear frequently”.
In TICM, Kidneys opens to the ear, and stores, vital energy and the whole body energy accumulates at the ear. Besides, there are more than 200 acupuncture points on the ear. If we practice ear massage frequently, all these points get stimulated and it will certainly give us good health.
There are 5 steps in this ear massage:
1: Pinch and pull ear tip.
Simply pinch, pull and squeeze 15-20 times, until it turns red. this can calm the mind, brightens eyes, reduce fever, ease allergy and nourish Kidney.
2: Pinch and pull rim of ear.
Starting from tip of ear, pinch and pull along rim of ear, repeat 15-20 times. This can strengthen the kidney, spine and back and improve hearing.
3: Squeeze and pull ear lobe.
Simply squeeze and pull the ear lobe for 3-5 min, ear should be red. This is really good to reduce headache, vertigo, tinnitus, brighten eyes and reduce anxiety.
4: Pull and fold.
Pull the ear outward and fold, repeat 15-20 times, this will strengthen kidney and back and balance blood pressure.
5: Rub palms and rest
Rub both palms until warm, rest on ears, repeat 5-6 times, this will warm the whole ear, increase circulation, strengthen kidney.
Massage on both ears if you can, if not rotate massage to a different ear each day.
