The Causes of Dis-eases
In Islam, prevention of dis-ease and illness is better than cure. This fact was taught to us by our beloved Prophet of Allah (SAW), over 14 centuries ago through his blessed teachings and noble habits.
According to scholars of Tibb, there are 6 major causes of dis-eases so identifying them will help prevent the spread of dis-ease. They are:
1- Air
2- Food and Drink
3- Bodily Movement and Rest
4- Wakefulness and Sleep
5- Emotions
6- Emission and Retention
Whilst these are the 6 main causes of illness and dis-ease, other factors such as age, gender, habits, occupation, environment and so on also play a role.
